Hi my name is Belinda Miller, I’m from Baltimore, MD. I’ve been in the design field for over 20 years. Started as a Graphic Designer transformed to an Instructional Designer and now I’m on my way to becoming a UX Designer! I’m a multidisciplinary designer, with my design background I’ve been able to conceive, produce, and deliver engaging visual communication materials, provided leadership for course development and design on budget and on time.
I’m passionate about creating eye catching and functional products that meet the users’ needs and have a positive impact on their lives. I enjoy solving design problems and utilizing research findings to develop something very usable and valuable. I have a proven background in print design, and illustration in a corporate and agency environment. One of my passions is helping others. I have been donating my time and design work to Pitties & Purrs Rescue for six years now. This rescue is very dear to my heart. This rescue pulls dogs that have health issues, most rescues don’t have the funding or capability of pulling these dogs. As the Graphic Designer I create the graphics that are used for their social media posts that highlight the available dogs and special adoption events. I also create their T-shirt and brochures.
One of my professional accomplishments was being nominated for an ICy Award for one of the e-learning courses I helped design and animate. This was the very first course I worked on, the client was so happy with how the course turned out they decided to implement this look and feel for future courses. Working on this course made me want to learn more about Instructional design and how I could increase the learner engagement.
My goal is to take all of my design experience and passion and become a UX Visual Designer!
